Following fish can be caught in the Net:

Coelacanth
Piranha
Sabertooth Salmon
X-Sabertooth Salmon

Rewards[]

Fish caught in a Fish Net are guaranteed to yield meat. Quantity of meat is determined by total weight of fish. Loot Tables/Fishing Meat

Special Loot[]

Following items will appear only if caught fish weigh at least 0.8 units¹. Quantity of an item is determined by total weight of fish. Loot Tables/Fish Net

Number of picked items is determined primarily by ${\textstyle \frac{\text{Total Scale} ^1} {10.0}}$ . In case the result is lower than 1, a number between 0 and 1 is randomized and compared against ${\textstyle 2 * \frac{{1.0}} {\text{Total Scale} ^2}}$ - if randomized number is higher, one item will be chosen, or zero otherwise.

The Fish Net seems that it will be able to catch fish like Coelacanth in a similar manner to the Fishing Rod, but without needing bait or a place to sit, allowing a survivor to cast out the net and ensnare fish while standing.
Survivors won't be able to move while using net.
During the Bog Fishin' mission Fish Net breaks if a Piranha is caught.
